Sunday’s game at Nissan Stadium is largely inconsequential for the Titans and the Chiefs, both having missed the chance of a place in the playoffs. For Tennessee, the only thing to play for is pride and giving their fans something they have been waiting a long time for - a win. The team’s last victory at home was against the Jaguars on January 7 - almost one year ago.
As for the Chiefs, they will be without star quarterback Patrick Mahomes who underwent surgery on Monday to repair torn ligaments in his left knee. His season is over and so is the Chiefs (6-8), whose only mission now is to make sure they don’t finish the regular season with a losing record - something that hasn’t happened since 2012.
