Chiefs will face one of two teams in Conference Championship game
Arrowhead Stadium played host to the Divisional round match-up between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans.

The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for a seventh consecutive AFC Championship game after a battling 23-14 victory over the Houston Texans on Saturday.
Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce had not taken to the field since the Christmas Day victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers and there were undoubted signs of rust in the early stages. The Houston defence was defiant but as the game wore on the Chiefs found their groove and were able to pull away in the fourth quarter.
The Chiefs are the first team to progress to the Conference finals stage of the playoffs, where they will meet the winner of the other AFC Divisional round match-up, either the Buffalo Bills or the Baltimore Ravens.
Would the Chiefs rather face the Bills or the Ravens?
The Chiefs will be the favourites going into next weekend’s game but it’s far from a formality. The Bills stormed to a 13-4 record in the regular season, while the Ravens managed a 12-5 record. Crucially, both teams have an MVP-calibre quarterback in Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, respectively.
With home advantage for their Divisional round game the Bills will be tipped to progress on Sunday and they had the better of the Chiefs in 2024, inflicting the only regular season defeat on the Chiefs. Back in September the Chiefs began their season with a home victory over the Ravens, winning 27-20 to kick-start the season. Both teams showed that they can certainly compete with the Chiefs and will provide tough opposition next weekend.
No one will be relishing a meeting with the Chiefs in the postseason but the vanquished Texans had particular reason to fear the reigning Super Bowl champions. Houston have now lost five consecutive games against with the Chiefs, culminating with Saturday’s playoff loss.
