Cowboys - Browns injury report for NFL Week 1: John Stephens Jr, Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin
The Cleveland Browns open the regular season with a banged-up offensive line against the Dallas Cowboys. Here’s the final injury report for both teams.
The Cleveland Browns open up the regular season at home this afternoon as they face the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately, they’ll be doing so with a few significant injuries on the roster.
Injuries haunted the Browns all throughout the season last year as they lost many of their key starting players. Offensive tackle Jack Conklin was injured in Week1 and running back Nick Chubb was injured the following week. Quarterback Deshaun Watson missed 12 games with a shoulder injury and left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. missed nine.
Heading into the opener, Chubb remains on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and will miss at least the first four games of the season. The rest of the team looks to be healthy minus one player who’s been ruled out and one who’s questionable.
As for the Cowboys, they lost some significant players early on in training camp, with defensive end Sam Williams out for the year and cornerback DaRon Bland out for up to two months. They’ve dealt with those injuries, finding replacements, one of whom is CB Caelen Carson, who almost gave fans a heart attack when he appeared on the injury list on Thursday for his knee. However, head coach Mike McCarthy has said Carson is healthy and was a full participant in practice on Friday.

Cleveland Browns Injury Report Week 1 vs Cowboys
Only one player has been ruled out completely for the Browns and that’s OT Jedrick Willis Jr., who’s dealing with a knee injury. Set to fill in for him is Jack Conklin, which is a little concerning, as he’s currently listed as questionable. It may be that he splits time with James Hudson III.

Like the Browns, the Cowboys also have just one player ruled out for Week 1. Tight end John Stephens Jr. is dealing with a hamstring injury and will not play against the Browns. He was the only player who did not practice on either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. All other players practiced in full the entire week.
