Since the trade deadline of the 2022 NFL season passed, Odell Beckham Jr. has become one of the most coveted free agents and both the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants have shown interest in acquiring his services.

OBJ visited the Cowboys on Monday and the team performed a medical evaluation on the torn ACL in the left knee suffered by the wide receiver during Super Bowl LVI. Unfortunately, the news was not so good.

Beckham’s injury may sideline him for one more month

According to a report by Ed Werder of ESPN, the Cowboys fear that Beckham Jr. will not be able to play until the end of January due to his injury. This causes the team to consider that the wide receiver may not be able to contribute until the 2023 season begins.

In addition to this, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made his weekly appearance on the 105.3 The Fan program and did not commit to hiring OBJ, because it would be important for the wide receiver to have activity this season.

“I’m not totally confident, that’s the problem,” Jones said. “We all know that health is an issue, an availability issue.” He said that they have looked at the wideout’s career and pointed out that his injury occurred during the Super Bowl, which was ten months ago.

Night in Dallas

Beckham Jr. spent Monday night with Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons at the American Airlines Arena, where they watched the game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns, in which the hosts won 130-111.

After the game, Luka Doncic, star of the Mavericks, stated that he did everything he could to convince OBJ to join Dallas. The Mavs point guard had 33 points, dished out eight assists and made six rebounds in his team’s victory.

in the post-game conference, Doncic was asked if he had tried to convince the wide receiver to join the Cowboys. “I tried, I tried. After the game, I saw him, so hopefully. I can’t say nothing... Go Cowboys,” he said.
