Is Jalen Brooks injured? Cowboys WR carted off in training camp
The Cowboys have already lost one player to injury during training camp. Now as they begin week 2, WR Jalen Brooks was carted off to the injury tent.

Just days into the Dallas Cowboys training camp, they lost defensive end Sam Williams to a season-ending ACL/MCL injury. Now as they enter week two, two players were injured within the first half hour, according to DallasCowboys.com journalist Nick Harris. One of those players was wide receiver Jalen Brooks.

He speculated that Brooks may have suffered from a head injury, as he was blinking and shaking his head on the walk to the injury tent.
Fortunately, Brooks was back out to practice moments later and appears to be okay. This is good news as the Cowboys are still deep into the battle for WR3 behind CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks, and Brooks and Jalen Tolbert are the top contenders for that spot.

Royce Freeman injured in training camp
The other injured player was running back Royce Freeman.

The Cowboys signed the veteran back in April on a one-year deal to add some depth to a devastatingly thin running back chart. Stephen Jones had told reporters that Freeman has impressed so far in training camp.
Hopefully the injury is minor and Freeman will still have his chance to make it on the final 53-man roster.
