SUPER BOWL LVIII

Did Usher lip sync at the Super Bowl half time show or did he actually sing?

The Super Bowl Halftime Show always comes with the question of whether the performer lip synced or truly sang. So, what did Usher do?

As soon as the Super Bowl Halftime Show began, it was clear there were some issues with the sound. To me, that made it actually quite obvious that Usher was not lip syncing and was actually singing. The internet, however, was divided as always.

According to talkSport, Usher was indeed singing all his songs himself, with no help from any lip-syncing technology, noting that he could be heard breathing hard after singing some of the songs in which he was quite active and energetic. It was exactly his performance, with roller skating, dancing, and bouncing that makes it hard to believe that he didn’t need the help of a lip-sync technology.

The Gunz Show posted on X, noting that he could be heard tapping his microphone:

It may be hard to prove, but there were little signs that point to the fact that Usher was singing his songs himself, struggling through the dance moves and all. And either way, it was an entertaining spectacle!
