AFC Standings
Taking a look at the standings in the AFC we can see the Ravens are currently the leaders in the conference with a record of 12-3. The Dolphins are right behind them with a record of 11-4 and they can draw level with the Ravens with a win in Baltimore today which would give them the tie breaker between the two teams. If Miami wins, they will have to win their Week 18 game against the Bills to ensure they get the top seed. If Baltimore wins today, beating the Steelers on the final day of the season won’t be obligatory for them to wrap up the first seed considering they have the tie break over the Dolphins.

We got glimpses of just how good this Dolphins team could be if they stay healthy last year. Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle were the perfect compliments to Tua Tagovailoa´s spot on accurate throws and Mike McDaniel high powered offense. Unfortunately, Tua dealt with concussion issues all last year, but this year he has stayed healthy and has had the offense locked in. He came into this week with the most passing yards in the league and 26 TDs having thrown just 10 interceptions. While he may not be in the running for the MVP, his teammate Tyreek Hill is. He has 1,641 yards, and while he is most likely going to come up short of his goal of 2,000 he has had a historic season and is not far from Calvin Johnson’s record of 1,964 yards.

Lamar Jackson won the MVP in just his second season in the league, and now looks to be on track for a second MVP this year. For the last few years, he battled through injury and frustration when it came to a contract extension. This year he signed a record breaking deal and luckily for the Ravens he has stayed healthy all season. He has already broken his single season passing record with 3,357 yards and has 786 yards on the ground. While his regular season numbers are impressive, Ravens fans will want to see that level of play carry over to the playoffs. If he can manage to stay at this level throughout the post season, this is going to be a tough team to knock out, especially if they have home field advantage.
Dolphins last game
The Dolphins finally got their first win against a good team last week when they hosted the Cowboys in a battle of two high powered offenses. It was a game that featured just three TDs as the Dolphins relied on Jason Sanders to keep them in the game with five field goals. Dallas took a 20-19 lead with 3:37 to go thanks to a Dak Prescott TD pass to Brandin Cooks but the Dolphins marched down the field and set up a game winning field goal from Jason Sanders as the clock expired.
Ravens last week
The Ravens are currently in the midst of a gauntlet of a schedule to end the season. They played the Rams, Jags and Niners last year, but no one has been able to knock them off during their current five game win streak. Last week they went to San Fran and played the Niners in a potential Super Bowl preview and Lamar Jackson led his side to victory while potentially wrapping up the NFL MVP against the two other favorites for the award. The defense came up with five interceptions, four of those against MVP candidate Brock Purdy but the game was still tight after the first two quarters. The Ravens finally pulled away in the third quarter when Lamar Jackson tossed both of his TD passes, one to Nelson Agoholor and two plays later to Zay Flowers to take a 30-12 lead early in the third quarter.

Hello everyone and welcome to M&T Bank Stadium where the Ravens have lost two of their three games at home this season. They have been the most consistent team in the league, dropping a game here and there but have never gone through a skid that made people around the league question their legitimacy. Today they will hope to continue that consistency in the biggest game of their season, against the Miami Dolphins who have been an offensive juggernaut but there are a lot of questions that surround their ability to win big games against good teams. They can answer a lot of questions and wrap up home field on the way if they beat the Ravens on their home soil today.
