Update:

The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl champions for the second time in their history after a surprisingly comfortable victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, whose hopes of a historic ‘three-peat’ emphatically dashed in New Orleans. It was quite the night for Jalen Hurts, who his first championship ring at his second attempt.

Hurts' Super Bowl-winning performance

The 26-year-old quarterback was named Super Bowl MVP after leading his team to victory. Hurts had 16 completions on 22 passes for 221 yards, two touchdown passes, and one interception, and added 11 carries for 72 yards and another rushing touchdown on a famous Eagles' tush push.

After the game, Hurts was congratulated by NFL icon and current Fox Sports analyst Tom Brady, who had a light-hearted piece of advice for the Eagles star after complimenting his performance.

Tom Brady’s advice for Jalen Hurts

“It’s gonna take a while to process it,” explained Brady. “You’re gonna wake up tomorrow morning and you’re gonna feel so good.

“What I want you to feel good about is…don’t let that jersey out of your sight! I had a few stolen over the years!

“I ain’t letting that happen!” Hurts responded.

“So keep track of that. It’s gonna be memorable down the road," Brady continued. “I’m so happy for you. Congratulations to you and your team. You guys played so well all season long, and there couldn’t be a better Super Bowl champion than the Philadelphia Eagles and you led them to victory”.

One down, six to go for Jalen Hurts

Luckily for Brady, losing a Super Bowl-winning jersey or two isn’t the catastrophe it might’ve been. The 47-year-old won seven championship rings between 2001 and 2020, so he will air least have had some going spare.

Only six more to go for Hurts until he catches up with the most decorated quarterback in NFL history.
