We’re heading into Week 2 of the NFL season relatively healthy, but of course there are a few key injuries to keep an eye on, especially for Fantasy owners.

Update:

The 2025 NFL season has officially completed its first week of football games, and as usual, that left us with a few injuries right off the bat. Thankfully, none were too serious, but there are a few key names that fantasy managers should note as we head into Week 2.

NFL Fantasy: Key injuries heading into Week 2

Quarterbacks

Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers (toe/shoulder) - QUESTIONABLE

Purdy suffered multiple injuries in Week 1’s opener against the Seattle Seahawks, including a left shoulder injury and a toe injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan says the toe is worse than the shoulder and that Purdy’s status for their Week 2 game against the New Orleans Saints is uncertain.

Running Backs

Will Shipley, Philadelphia Eagles (rib) - QUESTIONABLE:

The Eagles may be without rookie RB Will Shipley after he suffered a fractured rib in the Week 1 loss to the Cowboys. Shipley, who had three carries for 26 yards before exiting, had been expected to play a key role behind Saquon Barkley. His injury helps explain Philadelphia’s recent trade for Tank Bigsby, who could step into the RB2 role once he learns the offense, while A.J. Dillon serves as an immediate backup.

Other injured RBs:

  • Roschon Johnson, Chicago Bears (foot) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Joe Mixon, Houston Texans (foot/ankle) - OUT
  • Tyjae Spears (ankle) - OUT

Wide Receivers

Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers (shoulder) - QUESTIONABLE:

Not only is Purdy injured, but the Niners lost wide receiver Jauan Jennings in Week 1 as well when he left with a shoulder injury. He was already dealing with a calf injury on top of it. At the moment, he is considered day-to-day heading into Week 2.

Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs (shoulder) - QUESTIONABLE:

Worthy dislocated his shoulder in Week 1’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers and is likely to miss Week 2. With Worthy on the bench, TE Travis Kelce and WRs Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton will become top targets.

Drake London, Atlanta Falcons (shoulder) - QUESTIONABLE:

London appeared to suffer a shoulder strain in the Falcons’ Week 1 and is now considered day-to-day as they prepare to face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2.

Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (head) - QUESTIONABLE:

In the Rams’ Week 1 win over the Texans, Nacua suffered a head injury after a helmet-to-helmet hit. He cleared concussion protocol and was able to return to the game and looks okay to return in Week 2, but keep an eye on him if he’s in your lineup just in case.

Other injured WRs:

  • Darnell Mooney (shoulder) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Christian Kirk (hamstring) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Chris Godwin (ankle) - OUT
  • Brandon Aiyuk (knee) - OUT

Tight Ends

Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders (knee) - QUESTIONABLE:

Bowers left the Raiders’ Week 1 game against the Patriots with a knee injury and did not return. However, he said he was fine after the game and has until the late Monday game to recover fully this week. His status is uncertain and he’s definitely one to monitor.

George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers (hamstring) - OUT (IR):

Kittle is now on the Injured Reserve list after suffering from a hamstring injury in Week 1, so he will miss the next four weeks at least, but he could potentially miss more.

Other injured TEs:

  • Evan Engram, Denver Broncos (calf) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens (foot) - QUESTIONABLE
