Josh Allen contract details: Salary and years left with the Bills
The Bills quarterback has a brand new, record-breaking contract.
This past March, the Buffalo Bills confirmed that they reached an agreement with MVP quarterback Josh Allen, who signed a 6-year $330 million contract that guarantees him $250 million.
Such an expensive deal broke the previous guaranteed high of $230 million, given to Deshaun Watson of the Cleveland Browns.
Towards the end of the 2024 season, which saw the Bills finish top of the AFC East, general manager Brandon Beane heaped praise on the quarterback, saying “I love Josh and so proud of what he’s done, and so, I could be here all day talking about how great he is. He and I have a great relationship.”

‘We’re going to cross the T’s, dot the I’s’
“We talk a lot”, Beane admitted. “When the dust settles, before we’re ever really talking to his agent or his agents calling me, like, Josh and I will have those conversations [about a potential extension], holistically about the team, things like that. And I’m not saying it will happen, I’m not saying it won’t happen. ... There’ll be a time and place, and not saying we will, but not ruling it out either.”
The comments are not out of place: in 2024, Allen became the first player in NFL history to record at least 25 touchdown passes and 10 touchdown runs with fewer than 10 interceptions in a season. He finished an incredibly impressive campaign with a total of 28 touchdown passes, 12 rushing touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He became the third player in Bills history to be voted MVP, joining Thurman Thomas (1991) and O.J. Simpson (1973).
Allen himself was confident at the end of the season when it came to a positive 2025: “We’re going to continue to turn every stone over and cross the T’s, dot the I’s and do whatever we can to try to bring a Lombardi back here to Western New York.”

The Bills and MVP QB Josh Allen have reached an agreement on a new deal that will keep him in Buffalo through 2030, the team announced Sunday.
Allen was named the AP NFL Most Valuable Player in 2024 after recording 4,269 total yards, 41 total touchdowns and the fewest turnovers of his career (8). Among his many NFL records set this season, Allen became the first player in NFL history with 5 straight 40+ total TD seasons.
Led by Allen, the Bills finished with a 13-4 record and a fifth-straight AFC East division title. They also reached the AFC Championship for the second time in the last five seasons.
Since coming into the league, Allen has the most wins (76), total TDs (262) & total yards (30,595) by any player all-time in their first seven seasons. In Week 13, Allen passed Bills Legend and Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly for the most total touchdowns in franchise history.
Allen is a three-time Pro Bowl selection, two-time All-Pro and the reigning MVP.
