The NFL Honors where celebrated from New Orleans just days before Super Bowl Sunday, and it was Josh Allen taking the highest prize of the night.

The Super Bowl is just a few days away, but the NFL had some business to tend to on Thursday night handing out their Honors awards from the Saenger Theater in New Orleans. There was a two horse race for the NFL’s MVP, and Josh Allen was named Most Valuable Player for the first time in is career.
Allen edges Jackson for MVP
The Bills QB put the team on his shoulders after an offseason full of departures of some of his biggest weapons. With a cast full of unknowns, Allen was nearly perfect all season.
He led the Bills to a 13-4 record and the second seed in the AFC. He and the Bills ended the Kansas City Chiefs win streak that dated back to last season and looked to be the most likely team to contend with the KC dynasty. They fell a game short of Super Bowl Sunday, losing to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship, but that didn’t take away from the incredible season that the Bills QB had.
Allen didn’t have a career year in any passing statistic but he carried his team all season. He made big play after big play when his team needed him, but most importantly he played near mistake free football all season. Allen threw for 3,731 yards, 28 TDs and just 6 INTs while rushing for another 12 TDs.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson finished second in voting after coming up just short of becoming the first QB to throw for 4,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards. He ended the season with 4,172 passing yards, 915 yards rushing and was tied for second in TD passes, tossing 41 TDs with just 4 INTs but missed out on his second straight MVP and third overall.
