Tom Brady is about to enter his 23rd season in the NFL, and he does so as the league’s best quarterback, as far as the Madden 23 ratings are concerned.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback garnered a rating of 97, the same score as he had last year. He moved to the top position this year after Patrick Mahomes, who was rated with the highest score of 99 in Madden 22, dropped four points to 95 this season.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback had his lowest numbers as a starter last season, with a passer rating of 98.5 and an average of 284.6 yards per game.

Brady had dropped to a 90 overall score for Madden 21 after his not-very-memorable last season with the New England Patriots in 2019. However, he is now back on top of the game after moving to Tampa Bay.

Reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers maintains his 96 ranking from Madden 22 and now sits in second place.

Young quarterbacks on their way up

On the rise are Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills (92), the Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow (90), and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers (88).

Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, on the other hand, has plunged from his 94 rating last year to 87, after suffering injuries last year.
