Update:

The New England Patriots held a joint training camp session with the Washington Commanders on Wednesday and as things tend to do during these events, they got heated on the field.

But it was coach Mike Vrabel who walked away from the scene bloodied.

“You should’ve seen the other guy”: Mike Vrabel goes full warrior mode

The Patriots’ new head coach Mike Vrabel was left bleeding from the cheek after stepping in to break up a fight. The scuffle broke out when running back TreVeyon Henderson violently took down a blitzing defender, sparking chaos.

Vrabel jumped into the fray and emerged with a facial injury, later seen holding an ice pack.

It probably hurt a bit, but it was worth it, as the players praised Vrabel’s toughness and dedication. Wide receiver DeMario Douglas quoted the coach’s post-scuffle quip: “You should’ve seen the other guy.” Tight end Hunter Henry told reporters that Vrabel is “right there with us”.

Fans on social media rallied behind Vrabel too, celebrating his grit and leadership in his first year at the helm in New England.
