The only unbeaten team left in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field on Monday Night football. With all of the off-field antics surrounding the Commanders, it is a miracle that they are in the shape they are in, having won three of their last four games, but the Eagles are flying into this matchup as the heavy favorites to keep their O intact.

The Commanders started off the season on a high, winning their first two matchups, before dipping into a three-week slump. They had seemed to pull out of it, winning three games on the trot, before taking a loss to the Vikings in week 9.

The DC Attorney General has filed a lawsuit against the team and its owner Dan Snyder for lying to an inquiry into the sexual misconduct allegations that have swirled around the front office for a few years, and considering all of those distractions off the field, it is almost miraculous that they are in as good a place as they are.

Eagles

The Eagles have had a tough schedule this season, and nobody thought that they would be undefeated at this point. They have managed to chomp their way through the Cowboys, the Cardinals, and the Vikings along the way, in the case of Arizona, handing that team their first loss of the season.

In this matchup, they have the look of a team just getting warmed up and can put up some big numbers on a depleted Commanders defense. They seem almost unstoppable at the moment.

Commanders vs Eagles prediction

The Commanders are hampered by injury, with their defense and O-line depleted. The Eagles, by comparison, are in far better physical shape and should be able to move the ball on the ground. The Commanders offense is healthy enough to get into double digits, but the Eagles are currently a level above everyone else in the league.
