Most expensive things ever bought by NFL players (that we know about)
With millions of dollars at their disposal, here are some of the most expensive items purchased by NFL players throughout the years.

In 2024, the average annual salary of an NFL player was $2.8 million. That’s already an insane figure, but when you consider how much the top players are earning, it starts to get really unfathomable for us regular folks. At the time of this writing, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is the highest-paid NFL player with an annual salary of $60 million.
In other words, it’s normal to be a millionaire when you play in the NFL. And it’s always fascinating to see how they spend such an absurd amount of money. Let’s take a look at some of the most expensive purchases made by NFL players.
Most expensive purchases made by NFL players
Aaron Donald - $250,000 iced-out chain
In 2018, Donald signed a then record-breaking $135 million contract with the Los Angeles Rams. He celebrated by buying a custom chain for $250K. The chain, which featured his name and jersey number, was around 3/4 kilo of 14K gold with over 60 carats of true graded VVS-VS colorless diamonds.
Russell Wilson - $1 million on his health
Wilson spends $1 million a year on his body and health. He has two personal chefs, a hyperbolic chamber, and full-time trainers, PTs, masseuse, and mobile person who makes sure his movements are going well.
Travis Kelce - $1.2 million on private flights
Over the past few years, Kelce spent at least $1.2 million taking private jets to see girlfriend Taylor Swift at different spots around the world as she performed on her Eras Tour. The singer herself is reported to use her private jet more than any other celebrity, partly because she was visiting Kelce at his games around the country as well.
Travis Kelce is currently on board a private jet to Australia to see Taylor Swift just in time for her first Eras Tour concert in Sydney.

Dak Prescott - $3 million home in Prosper
When Prescott was given his record contract in 2024, he actually began tearing down his $3 million home in Prosper. He bought the home, which featured a tennis court, turf football field, pond, and golf green, in 2019. But with all that extra cash, he decided to rebuild the entire thing to make it more modern.
Tom Brady - $3 million Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
Brady has made several big purchases, including mansions in the $40 million range, but his $3 million sports car is also towards the top of the list. It’s the most expensive vehicle he owns, which says a lot because he collects sports cars. The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport hits 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and can go up to 268 miles per hour, thanks to the 8-liter W16 engine that produces 1200 horsepower.

Tom Brady - $300 million Las Vegas Raiders partial stake
After Brady retired, he went on to become the highest-paid broadcaster on air for FOX Sports. And he used that new money to become a partial owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. His 5% share cost him $300 million.
