How do the Saints and Cardinals match up?

Having both lost their last game, the Saints and Cardinals will likely be very motivated in this one, knowing that another loss would be less than ideal. Where New Orleans is concerned, they will be visiting State Farm Stadium following three consecutive games at home. As mentioned, their last game - against the Cincinnati Bengals - didn’t turn out so well despite the fact that they actually scored first. Indeed, in the end it was a close game, but close doesn’t count and in a performance that was collectively lackluster, the Saints fell 30-26. It’s worth noting, that the majority of their points came from special teams, with K Wil Lutz posting a perfect 4-for-4.

On the other side we’ve got Arizona who failed to contend with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in what was a 19-9 loss. Interestingly, the Cardinals’ defense accumulated an impressive five sacks for a loss of 37 yards, but ultimately it just wasn’t enough. Where the head-to-head is concerned, the last time the Cardinals met the Saints, it was New Orleans who came out on top with a 31-9 win. Needless to say, the Cardinals will be looking to take advantage of playing home, as they try to avoid a repeat.
