NFL 2026 international games: confirmed cities, countries, and teams so far
Mexico City, Madrid, Paris, Melbourne, and London among the locations set to host a record nine NFL games.
The NFL is taking its biggest step yet in international expansion, announcing nine regular-season games in 2026 across four continents, seven countries, and eight stadiums. Mexico City returns to the schedule after a four-year hiatus, while Madrid and Paris make their marks as international destinations for the league.
Madrid made headlines last year when the Miami Dolphins faced the Washington Commanders to a sold-out crowd, and Paris will host its first-ever NFL game.
NFL international games in 2026: What we know
Here’s the full slate of 2026 international games:
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – Maracanã Stadium
- Munich, Germany – FC Bayern Munich Arena
- Melbourne, Australia – Melbourne Cricket Ground, featuring the Los Angeles Rams
- London, United Kingdom – three games across the city
- Madrid, Spain – Santiago Bernabéu Stadium
- Paris, France – Stade de France, featuring the New Orleans Saints (reportedly against the Cleveland Browns, but not yet confirmed)
- Mexico City, Mexico – Estadio Banorte, formerly known as Estadio Azteca
This is the largest international schedule in NFL history. Over the years, the league has played 62 regular-season games abroad in cities including London, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Madrid, Dublin, São Paulo, Mexico City, and Toronto.
Mexico City returns to NFL schedule
Fans in Mexico have waited since November 2022, when the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 38-10 in a regular-season matchup. A new multi-year agreement now ensures games in 2026, 2027, and 2028.

“Estadio Banorte has hosted incredibly memorable moments in our international history, and returning here underscores our commitment to growing the sport at every level in this market,” he added.

Regular-season NFL games have been a recurring event in Mexico in 2005, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022, highlighting the league’s long-standing global ambitions.
