NFL fans react to Tony Romo’s performance covering the Bills - Jaguars Wild Card game: “worst commentator in sports”
The fans made their feelings clear regarding the performance of Tony Romo during the Jags’ Wild Card game.

Tony Romo’s transition from elite NFL quarterback to elite broadcaster looked seamless at first. For seasons he was the gold standard in television analysis, routinely reading plays before they happened and giving fans a new way to appreciate the sport.
Unfortunately, those days appear to be fading quickly, or so say his growing number of critics after this weekend’s AFC wild-card clash between the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars.
On Sunday, Romo and veteran play-by-play man Jim Nantz were behind the mic for one of the most anticipated games of the early playoffs.
But instead of incisive tactical breakdowns, what drew the most attention were a series of odd, often distractingly hilarious vocal reactions from Romo.
I’m not joking. Have a listen.

There were also analytical comments that left fans scratching their heads. In one instance he was certain Bills quarterback Josh Allen had secured a pass that was ultimately ruled incomplete, only to be proven wrong by the replay.

Tony Romo saying that wasn’t a touchdown by Allen because the ref is talking really fast might be the worst logic I’ve ever heard from an announcer

Here’s what NFL fans thought of the performance from Romo:
Tony Romo is the worst color commentator in the sport now. And it’s obvious Jim Nantz knows it.

What’s amazing is that the first 3 years of Tony Romo is one of my favorite announcers of all time and then all of a sudden he become AWFUL https://t.co/Ki97f0OrS3

Tony Romo apparently watching an entirely different football game than the rest of us

If CBS was smart, they’d throw an absolute BAG at Greg Olsen to pair with Nantz. Tony Romo actively takes away from the broadcast and brings Nantz down. Nantz deserves to end his career with arguably the best analyst in the game

I am once again begging CBS to get Tony Romo off the air
