The National Football League has penalized Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for unsportsmanlike conduct in a Monday Night Football game in Mexico, which they lost to the San Francisco 49ers.

Hopkins was fined $10,609 for pointing his finger at and taunting the 49ers’ defensive backs.

The incident took place in the second quarter of the game at Azteca Stadium during an offensive series by the Cards, when quarterback Colt McCoy threw for Hopkins and he would get the First and Ten.

After this action the WR pointed his finger at 49ers defenders, including safety Jimmie Ward who made the tackle.

The referees threw the handkerchief and penalized Arizona with 15 yards. The game ended with a score of 38-10 in favor of the San Francisco 49ers.
