Update:

During the 2025 NFL Draft, the league announced that they would reveal the full 2025 season schedule on Wednesday, May 14. However, there will be some early announcements as well, with three expected to be revealed Monday, and one on Tuesday, and two more on Wednesday during the day before the full unveiling in the evening.

The NFL hasn’t released the schedule - but these secrets are out

Also on Tuesday, the NFL will reveal all the details, including the opponents, for the 2025 international games, which include three in London, one in São Paulo, one in Berlin, one in Madrid, and one in Dublin. As of now, we only know the home teams and the date of the first in Brazil. The announcement will come on Tuesday during “Good Morning Football” on NFL Network.

Here’s what we know so far, and our best guess at what to expect on Tuesday.

Rumor mill for international games

Chargers vs Chiefs in São Paulo

The only game we know the exact date for so far is the Chargers’ game in São Paulo. Like last year, the NFL is holding the game in Brazil on opening week after last year’s wild success. The Chargers top candidate as an opponent for that game is the Kansas City Chiefs. The other home teams they’ll face this season who don’t already have international games on the schedule, and thus could be potential opponents in Brazil, are the Broncos, Raiders, Texans, and Vikings.

Dolphins vs Commanders or Bengals in Madrid

We know that the Dolphins will play in November during Week 13 in Madrid, Spain. They are rumored to be playing against the Washington Commanders or the Cincinnati Bengals. A game against the Commanders would reunite Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and Commanders head coach Dan Quinn, as the two worked together on the Atlanta Falcons’ 2016 team that went to the Super Bowl. Other potential opponents for the Dolphins include the Bills, Patriots, Ravens, Bengals, Saints, Buccaneers, and Commanders

Steelers vs Vikings in Dublin Week 4 AND Browns vs Vikings in London Week 5

Arif Hasan, former Vikings reporter for “The Athletic”, reports hearing that the Minnesota Vikings will play two international road games in a row - one week in Dublin against the Steelers, and the next week in London against the Browns.

Other potential NFL international opponents

The Jaguars played two games in London the last two years in a row. However, it doesn’t look like that will be the case again this year, as the Jags aren’t scheduled to play the Browns or the Jets on the road this season. The Jets, however, could potentially play two in London as they are one of the Jags’ home opponents, meaning the Jaguars could host them in London. Other potential opponents for the Jaguars game in London include Texans, Titans, Chiefs, Rams, Seahawks, and Panthers. Of those, it seems like the Rams or Seahawks would be the most likely opponents, as netiher has played an international game in a few years.

The Jets could potentially play the Patriots, Dolphins, Bills, Browns, Broncos, Falcons, Panthers, and Cowboys. Of those, the Cowboys have the fewest international games under their belt - just one. They could be a potential opponent for the Jets in London this season.

The Colts could potentially play the Texans, Titans, Broncos, Raiders, Cardinals, 49ers, or Falcons in Berlin this season. Of the four games that have been played in Germany in the past, all have featured teams from the same conference. The Dolphins are already playing in Spain, so with that in mind, the Colts could be playing against the Broncos or the Raiders in Berlin.
