Update:

Both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders are just one step away from a place in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans next month.

The (14-5) Commanders are seen by many as the ‘surprise package’ after they overcame Detroit Lions last weekend at Ford Field with the side from Michigan previously highly topped to go all the way for the first time.

The (16-3) Eagles had a less arduous task in edging out the LA Rams with a 28-22 win last weekend.

Despite the Eagles being favourites for Sunday’s game, the Commanders come into their first NFC Championship Game since 1991 on a seven-game winning streak, which includes a triumph over Philadelphia in December. The Eagles, though, have been victorious in 14 of their last 15 matchups, that loss to the Commanders the only stain on their recent record.

Conditions for Commanders-Eagles

It’s been an overcast morning in the City of Brotherly Love and although glimmers of sunshine may periodically breakthrough the cloud cover, it will remain grey ahead of kick-off.

Tailgaters and early ‘birds’ will need to wrap up with windy conditions set to add to the edge of the through the first half.

At present, the Philadelphia temperature is 39.2F with the maximum temperature come kick-off set to be 42.8F.

However, the real feel for fans inside the stadium will be close to freezing with a 23 mph wind.
