Ravens 41 vs 31 Buccaneers summary, stats, scores and highlights | NFL Week 7
The Ravens scored on 7 of their 8 drives after being forced to punt on their opening series. The final score came on Lamar Jackson's fifth TD pass of the night as he found Henry for the easy TD catch and run. Jackson ended the night with 5 TDs on 17/22 passing for 281 yards and he will find himself at the top of the odds makers list for MVP after this week. Henry finished the night with 169 yards on 15 carries as he zeroes in on 1,000 yards rushing after just 7 games.
The Ravens are now at the top of the AFC North, and one of the hottest teams in the league with the best QB and the best RB in the game at the moment. Things are looking pretty good in Baltimore after a rocky start to the season.
For the Bucs, where do they go from here? They looked great to start the season, and looked great to start the game, but losing Mike Evans had an immediate affect on them in this game and and losing him and Chris Godwin for what could be a long time is going to hinder this team and the offense that had everything clicking in the first six weeks of the season.
As if it couldn't get much worse for the Bucs after getting by the Ravens and losing Mike Evans for what seems to be an extended amount of time. Chris Godwin, who has had to deal with some many injuries to his legs and knees specifically suffered a gruesome injury with the game essentially over. Reports are Godwin dislocated his ankle on the play but the Bucs will run tests to see the severity of the injury.
The Ravens defense would let up with a 24 point lead and that allowed Mayfield and the Bucs to chip into the lead. He found Rachaad White with a short pass that the RB took into the end zone and cut into the lead with plenty of time on the clock.
Up by 17, the Ravens went for it on fourth down and Jackson found Andrews in the end zone for his fourth TD of the night, his second to Andrews who had 4 catches for 41 yards and two TDs. The Ravens would end up needing that 4th down conversion because the Bucs would make a late charge in the 4th quarter.
The Ravens defense buckled down and kept the Bucs off the board for over 30 minutes. In the meantime the Ravens wore the Tampa defense down, in large part due to Derrick Henry who broke off this 81 yard run to demoralize the fans at Raymond James Stadium.
The Ravens kicked a field goal on both ends of the halftime break to stretch the lead to 10, and then Lamar Jackson found Bateman on another deep pass, this one the WR took into the end zone to stretch the lead to 17.
After the turnover the Ravens smelled blood. Jackson would find Rashod Bateman with a 59 yard catch and run to set up this screen pass to Justice Hill who followed a blockade of lineman into the end zone to take the lead.
A couple plays after the Evan's injury, Mayfield was picked off by Marlon Humphrey who stepped in the way of the pass and made the uncontested pick in the end zone.
Disaster struck, but not for the last time, when Evan's just missed out on his second touchdown of the game and aggravated an already tender hamstring. he didn't return, and may not be returning for a while.
The Bucs got into the red zone again on their next drive but a holding call took a TD off the board and they had to settle for a field goal, which would be their last points until the fourth quarter.
The Ravens woke up as soon as the second quarter hit, as Lamar Jackson turned it on and would scorch the Tampa defense for the rest of the night. He found Mark Andrews for the first of his five TD passes to cut the lead to 10-7.
The Baltimore Ravens made it five wins on the fly and continued their hot streak in what proved to be a costly loss for the Buccanners on Tampa Bay on Monday night.

The Bucs are back home after a couple weeks on the road, and even though they have the same record as the Ravens and they are at home they come into tonight as the underdogs. The Ravens are listed as a 3.5 point favorite with the Over/Under set at 50.
Spread: Ravens -3.5
Over/Under: 50
ML: Baltimore -196, Tampa Bay +163
The Bucs are a good team, and they have proven they show up for big games against good teams like they did against the Lions earlier this year. That may be true, but I don’t think there is a team in the league that can knock the Ravens off track if they come out and play the way they have been over the last month. They are too hard to stop. Respect the run too much, and Lamar punishes you with a 300 yard game. Respect the pass too much, Derrick Henry runs for 200 yards. Even if you do everything right, those two still might put up those kinds of numbers.
Ravens win it by a couple scores, 28-18.
Raymond James ready for action after Miiton
This is what Raymond James Stadium looked like just a few days ago when Hurricane Milton made landfall on the shores of Tampa Bay. The one-time Category 5 hurricane brought storm surges of epic proportions, but here we are just a week and a half later, and we are ready to kick off Monday Night Football on the same field that looked like an Olympic swimming pool just a few days ago. The grounds crew has been hard at work getting ready for tonight, and the field looks in perfect condition.
NFL Standings
Taking a look at the standings in the NFL we see just one undefeated team left after Week 7. The Kansas City Chiefs have started their three peat bid in perfect fashion which means the Ravens and the rest of the pack chasing are at least two games back of the reigning champs. Baltimore and three other teams in the AFC have 2 losses, including the Chargers who play the Cardinals tonight in the late kick off. In the NFC, the Vikings just fell to the Lions which means things are tighter than ever. The Bucs lead the NFC South with four wins and two losses. The only other teams that have an equal or better record are in the NFC North, Bears are at the bottom of the table at 4-2.
Star watch: Bucs
Baker Mayfield has always been a solid quarterback worthy of being a starter. He got a bad deal at the end of his days in Cleveland, but Browns fans didn’t deserve him. Browns fans frankly don’t deserve anything after booing their QB who was injured for the rest of the season yesterday, but that’s another subject. Last year he had his first 4,000 yard season and threw for 28 yards in a renaissance year. This year his 15 TDs are the most coming into this week, currently tied with Jordan Love, but he’s got just 5 INTs while Love had thrown 8. His 70.9% completion perfecta is third behind Jayden Daniels and Jared Goff and his 248.2 yards per game is top 10 in the NFL. We need to recognize that this team is a contender in the NFC because of Baker Mayfield. With the defense dominating on the other side of the ball, this Bucs team in no joke.
Star watch: Ravens
This is the part of the preview in which we highlight Lamar Jackson and tell you a bunch of things you already know about the two time MVP. So lets switch it up and bit and tell you a bunch of stuff you may or may not know about Derrick Henry, who is on the verge of having a career season. Topping the 2,027 yards he rushed for back in 2020 might be tough, but the 17 rushing TDs he scored that year might be reachable. He has 704 yards rushing, and is averaging almost 6 yards a carry with 8 TDs already. In the Ravens’ four game win streak, he is averaging 143.5 ypg and 6 TDs. It’s not just the stats that Henry is bringing to the Ravens. Their struggles closing out games have disappeared since the offense started feeding him on a regular basis. He wears defenses down and breaks big runs at crucial times late in the game.
Season recap: Bucs
The Bucs made the playoffs last year and took down the Eagles in the Wild Card round to open a lot of people’s eyes. That hype died down a bit in the offseason, but the Bucs made people start to pay attention to them with their first few wins of the season. The first came against the Commanders, which not looks like a great win considering how good Washington is, and then against the Lions in Detroit. They have exchanged loses and wins since then to come into tonight at 4-2. They lost an inexplicable game to the Broncs in which they scored just 7 points, but responded with a huge win over the Eagles the next week. One got away from them in Atlanta in Week 5 after they took a late but Kirk Cousins led a comeback in a 500 yard game. They got back on track with a blowout last week in New Orleans, and now have a chance to snap the streak of what is looking like one of the best teams in the league tonight from Tampa.
Season recap: Ravens
The Ravens season got off to a rocky start. A last second loss on Kick Off Thursday in Kansas City dropped them to 0-1 after Isaiah Likely’s potential gam winning TD catch was ruled out of bounds by a toe. They would then have a late game collapse against the Raiders in Week 2, but that would be the end of their troubles. They went into to Dallas and whooped up on the Cowboys, handed the Bills their first loss, edged the Bengals in a high scoring overtime thriller before rattling off their fourth straight win last week against the Commanders.
Last game: Bucs
The Bucs offense exploded last game against a Saints team that had been decimated on both sides of the ball. They were up 17-0 at the end of the first quarter after Baker Mayfield opened the game with his first of four TD passes, and then Antoine Winfield Jr. returned a fumble to the house. Tampa would go to halftime trailing after giving up 27 points in the second quarter, but the defense buckled down and Mayfield would help the Bucs retake the lead with a 55 yard TD pass to Chris Godwin and then Cade Otton to close the door on the Saints and jump to the top of the NFC South.
Last game: Ravens
Last game was all about the battle of the quarterbacks as the Ravens hosted rookie phenom Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. Lamar Jackson there for 300 yards again as the he continues to build his case for a second straight MVP award, but it was Derrick Henry who dominated the game with 132 rushing yards and two TDs. Even with the Ravens playing at the top of their game, Washington kept pace with them until the very end. Baltimore was able to hold on to their double digit lead and rattle off a fourth straight win to set up this huge Monday night game in Tampa.
We are live from Raymond James
Hello everyone and welcome to Tampa where the Bucs are back home after blowing out the New Orleans Saints to take sole possession of the division lead in the NFC South. The Bucs came into the season a bit under the radar, but they have established themselves into contenders over the first month and a half of the season. The Ravens, on the other hand, were on everyone’s radar coming into this year, and after a slow start they have caught fire and there is no end in sight if they continue to play like they have since Week 3.
Ravens vs. Buccaneers on Monday Night Football
Two of the top teams in their respective divisions are set for a primetime showdown from Tampa Bay. It will be the first game in Raymond James Stadium since Hurricane Milton touched down just over a week ago, and it is sure to be an emotional game as the Buccaneers host the Baltimore Ravens in a massive Monday Night match up between two teams that are inching into the elite category, if they aren’t there already. AS English will be with you all night providing live coverage, stats, highlights and analysis of tonight’s game from the Bay.
