Saquon Barkley will continue his NFL career away from the New York Giants, but close enough to face them twice a year. The running back has decided to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles.

What is Saquon Brkley’s contract with the NY Giants?

According to an ESPN report, Barkley’s contract with the Eagles is for three years in exchange for 37.5 million dollars, of which 26 million are fully guaranteed. Likewise, the salary could increase to 46.75 million if it meets certain objectives.

With an average annual salary of $15.833 million, Barkley’s gamble on not receiving the franchise tag from the Giants paid off. The tag would have left him 11.95 million in 2024 if he had stayed in New York.

The Philadelphia 76ers’ Super Bowl chances changed the greatest following the Barkley deal rumor, from +2000 to +1800 according to sportsbooks like BetMGM Sportsbook and GamblingJoker.com.

Saquon Barkley's legacy with the Giants

Barkley was selected with the second overall pick in the 2018 draft by the Giants and over the last six years he accumulated 5,211 yards and 35 rushing touchdowns.

Barkley will say goodbye to New York as one of the best running backs in franchise history. His average yards per game (70.4) is the highest. His total rushing yards ranks fourth behind Tiki Barber (10,449), Rodney Hampton (6,897) and Joe Morris (5,296).
