Shedeur Sanders responds to thong claims on brother Shilo’s podcast

The Cleveland Browns have had a rough season. They are at the bottom fo the NFC North, have been through three quarterbacks and just lost to the one loss Tennessee Titans.

Sanders named starter

Former third string quarterback Shedeur Sanders is now the starter in Cleveland until the rest of the season after head coach Kevin Stefanski made an announcement on Monday. This follows his 364 yards, three touchdown game against the Tennessee Titans which gave people plenty to talk about.

In just his third game as a starter, Sanders put up season high numbers for the Browns QBs that have included Joe Flacco and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. While there is plenty of excitement surrounding the potential future Sanders in Cleveland, there was a moment in Sunday’s game that went viral and Shedeur had to clear that up while on a video call with his brother Shilo.

There was a clip of Sanders getting hit and being thrown head over heels. As he got to his feet it looked as if Sanders might have been wearing some interesting under garments. The moment instantly went viral and let a lot of people questioning the rookie gunslingers waredrob choice.

Shedeur explains underwear

His brother Shilo, who has grown up with Sanders all his life and played with him at the University of Colorado had to clear up the situation. He asked his brother directly on a video chat if he was wearing a thong during the game against the Titans. Shedeur was quick to shut down those rumors.

Shedeur made sure to clear the air with his brother saying, “Come on, bruh… You forgot I had a little back injury, right? So I get my back taped. But that is crazy that it did look like that. That’s funny, though.”

He’d later went on to say, “Yes, bro. There’s not no thong, bruh. That’s just weird.”

In his first three starts in Cleveland he has thrown for 722 yards, throwing five TDs an just two interceptions. Sanders won his first start against the Las Vegas Raiders but lost the last two against San Francisco and Tennessee. He’s got four more games to put himself in position to be the starter at the start of training camp next year. Next up, Shedeur and the Browns will head to Chicago to take on the red hot Bears.
