Update:

With quarterback Drake Maye entering a critical second year and Stefon Diggs newly arrived in Foxborough, the New England Patriots are putting their rebuild in motion when training camp kicks off.

When and where is Patriots training camp?

The official report date is July 22, with the first open practice taking place July 23 behind Gillette Stadium. Fans can enter from 9:15 a.m. ET, with the session beginning at 10:15 a.m. ET. And there are a number of things to keep your eye on.

Maye’s chemistry with Diggs, for one, with the All-Pro receiver having landed in New England this offseason likely to be the main attraction. Diggs isn’t just here to catch passes, though, he’s here to help accelerate Maye’s development in a franchise looking to regain its edge.

To test their progress, two joint practices are in the calendar. First up, the Washington Commanders visit on August 6. Then it’s a trip to Eagan, Minnesota on August 13, where Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison will challenge the Patriots’ defense.

Both matchups offer early glimpses of how the new-look Pats might stack up. For Maye and Diggs, it’s a proving ground. For Patriots fans, it’s a chance to see if this reboot has real teeth.
