The unfortunate NFL team with the fewest picks in the 2025 Draft
The NFL Draft is coming up this Thursday and while many teams have several picks, one team is stuck with only a few.

This Thursday, April 24, the first of the seven rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft will take place. In case you’re unfamiliar, the draft order is the reverse order of the finish from the previous season, so the team with the worst record picks first, and the Super Bowl winner picks last in each round.
Of course, things change drastically by the time the draft actually occurs, as the league gives out compensatory picks and teams make trades during the offseason. That means that not every team is going to have the same amount of picks in the draft. This year, there are several teams with 10+ picks, but others have much fewer.
Now that the NFL draft is four days away, this is the closest to the start of it that there have been no trades for first-round picks in the Common Draft Era, per ESPN’s @EpKap.

2025 NFL Draft: The team with the fewest picks
In the 2025 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings hold the fewest number of picks with just four total. Here are all their picks in the draft as of the time of this writing (Monday, April 21).
- Round 1: No. 24 overall
- Round 3: No. 97 (compensatory pick)
- Round 5: No. 139 (from Cleveland Browns)
- Round 6: No. 187 (from San Francisco 49ers)
The Vikings traded five of their draft picks away and were given one compensatory pick from the league. They ended the 2024 regular season 14-3, becoming the first 14-win Wild Card team in NFL history as the Detroit Lions beat them to the top of the NFC North. They were eliminated from the playoffs in the first round by the Los Angeles Rams.
2025 NFL Draft: The team with the most picks
The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers are tied for the most picks in the 2025 NFL Draft with 11 each. The Niners could’ve had 12, but their fifth-round pick was taken away due to a payroll error in the 2022-23 season.
There are seven teams with 10 picks in the draft this year: Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and Seattle Seahawks.
