These are the announcers and referees for the Commanders vs Lions divisional round matchup today
The Detroit Lions host the Washington Commanders at Ford Field this afternoon. Let’s meet the man who will be refereeing the game.

Ford Field hosts this evening’s NFC Divisional playoff between the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders.
The top-seeded Lions finished the regular season top of the NFC West with a 15-2 record - earning them a bye in the first round. The Commanders finished 12-5 in the NFC East and edged the Bucs 23-20 in Tampa last Sunday.
After failing to make the postseason for three seasons running, Dan Quinn’s Commanders will be looking to make the most of this opportunity although that’s a lot to ask against a side whose only setbacks during the regular season were slim defeats to thee Bucs and the Bills.
Torbert, the man in black and white
Ron Torbert, who has 15 years' experience behind him in the league, will be refereeing the game. Torbert refereed Super Bowl LVI between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals in 2021.
His crew hasn’t overseen a Lions game this season but were in charge of the Commanders game against the Tennessee Titans at Northwest Stadium on 1 December. Washington won the game 42-19 with 12 penalties awarded against the Titans.
Accompanying Torbert will be: Duane Heydt (umpire), Max Causey (down judge), Tim Podraza (line judge), Mearl Robinson (field judge), Boris Cheek (field judge) and Jonah Monroe (back judge).
In the TV booth, Fox play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt will be joined by Tom Brady in his first-year as color commentator. On the sidelines will be Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi.
