Thursday Night Football - How to watch Chargers at Chiefs online and on TV
The Kansas City Chiefs will play the LA Chargers in a Thursday Night showdown which will be exclusively broadcast on a streaming service for the first time.

The AFC West takes center stage on Thursday Night as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers go toe-to-toe. Both teams won their season opener and will look to stay perfect through the first two weeks of the season and take an early advantage in the head to head divisional match up.
Chiefs and Chargers start season on top of AFC West
The Kansas City Chiefs looked like the most prepared team for Week 1 in their stomping of the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. There was talk of the Chiefs offense struggling to start the season after trading Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins over the summer. There was not even a bump in the road as the Chiefs put up 44 points against Arizona. Patrick Mahomes went 30/39 for 360 yards and threw five touchdowns. Travis Kelce had 121 yards with a touchdown and Juju Smith-Schuster, who replaced Hill had six catches for 79 yards.
Los Angeles got a small bit of revenge on the Las Vegas Raiders to start the season in a matchup of last year’s Week 18 loss that kept them out of the playoffs. Justin Herbert passed for 279 yards on 26/34 passing, throwing three touchdowns in his season debut. Herbert has been improving on a weekly basis since debuting in the NFL in 2020, and if he continues his progression throughout this year he should be in the MVP discussion. Keenan Allen went down with a hamstring in the second half, but DeAndrew Carter replaced the Chargers star receiver and put up 64 yards and a touchdown. The revamped Chargers defense picked off Derek Carr three times, and former Raider Khalil Mack had three sacks including the game winner on 4th down late in the fourth quarter.
Every game is going to count in the AFC West as the division has been tabbed to be the toughest in the league this season. Kansas City has dominated not just the division but the AFC for the last four years, reaching the Conference Championship in every year since 2018. The Las Vegas Raiders made the playoffs last year, and beefed up their already strong offensive attack by bringing in Aaron Rodgers favorite target over the last few years, Davante Adams. Los Angeles was a timeout away from reaching the playoffs in Justin Herbert’s second year in the league, and the Denver Broncos brought in Russell Wilson to put the Broncos immediately in the playoff conversation despite their loss to Seattle last week.
For the first time ever the NFL goes digital as Thursday Night Football will be broadcasted on Amazon Prime this season. The Chiefs and the Chargers will take part in the inaugural game broadcast on the streaming service as Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstriet will provide commentary with Kaylee Hurtung reporting on the sidelines.
