Tom Brady loses to the Dallas Cowboys for the first time in his 23-year NFL career

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were pitted against the Dallas Cowboys in one of the most interesting clashes of the first postseason weekend. It was also an excellent opportunity for us to see two of the best quarterbacks in the league going at it, as Brady and Dak Prescott looked to lead their teams as far as possible in the competition.

Tom Brady vs Dallas Cowboys

Although few believed it could happen this year, Brady, now 45, was hoping to win his second Super Bowl in three years. The Bucs, remember, finished the regular season with eight wins and nine losses.

“Everyone works hard to get to this point. There are no more second chances”, the Bucs star said before the game. “It’s going to be hard, but we’re battle-tested. We’ve had some challenging games. Some we came back from, some we haven’t. But ... close won’t be good enough going forward for anybody,” Brady added.

As it turned out, it wasn’t to be for Brady, the Cowboys riding away with a 31-14 triumph, a game our cowgirl Jen took her followers through live. As well as taking them into the divisional round, the win was important for some other reasons. One of them is that the Cowboys hadn’t emerged victorious in a postseason game on the road since the 1992 playoffs before Monday night. The other one is that the Dallas team ended a very negative head-to-head record against Brady.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion had won all of his seven games against Dallas, as a Bucs and Patriots player, but sees that changed to a 7-1 record. Still not bad, but that won’t make him feel any better right now.
