Travis Kelce on Andy Reid: “I can’t look at him, I have disappointed him”
The Chiefs tight end said he was dissatisfied with his performance throughout what is rumored to be his last season.

The Kansas City Chiefs were unable to bid a proud farewell to Arrowhead Stadium in 2025 after falling 20-13 to the Denver Broncos in Week 16 of the season. This also marked a bitter goodbye for Travis Kelce, one of the team’s key players, who has been considering retirement imminent at 36 years old.

Following the final Thursday Night Football game of the year, Amazon Prime aired a special interview featuring Kelce and Tony Gonzalez, another key player at tight end for the four-time Super Bowl champions. During the interview, Kelce discussed various topics, highlighting his feelings about his coach, Andy Reid. The future Hall of Famer believes Reid let him down.
Against the Broncos this past Thursday, Kelce led a final offensive drive that, unfortunately for him, didn’t result in any points for the team. He finished the night with 5 catches on 6 attempts for a total of 36 yards. Throughout the season, he has accumulated 73 receptions for 839 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Retirement on the horizon?
In the post-game press conference, Kelce still left his future up in the air, not confirming at all that this is his last season, even though he had previously given many hints about it. These were his words when questioned by the press:
He said, “It’s frustrating, man. It’s frustrating. I feel like I can’t even look my guy, Coach Andy Reid, in his eyes right now. I feel like I disappointed or I just let him down in some way, somehow, throughout the year.”
“I’ll leave that decision to be made with my family, my friends, and the Chiefs organization, when the time comes.”
