Trevon Diggs injury update: Cowboys CB reveals chances of playing vs Eagles
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs’ status for their season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles has been in question, and he just provided an update.
Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs has given fans a reason to be optimistic ahead of the team’s highly anticipated season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles this Thursday.
Diggs “likely” to suit up vs Eagles
Speaking with reporters, Diggs revealed that there’s a “75–80 percent chance” he’ll be on the field Thursday night in Philadelphia, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.
That update provides much-needed clarity for Cowboys fans, who have been waiting to see if the two-time Pro Bowler would be ready after recovering from a knee injury that cut his 2024 season short.
The 26-year-old missed significant time last year, appearing in just 11 games, and was limited to only two games in 2023 due to injuries. Before going down in 2024, Diggs was on pace to surpass 40 tackles and add to his reputation as one of the league’s most dangerous ballhawks.
If he’s cleared to play, his presence would be a massive boost for a Cowboys defense that leans heavily on his experience and playmaking ability. And with the season kicking off against their biggest rival, Dallas could hardly ask for a bigger stage for his potential return.
