Has anyone been arrested?

Police have confirmed that three people have been arrested in connection with the shooting and at least one firearm recovered. Police are reporting that two of the people in custody for Wednesday’s shooting are juveniles.

Authorities have not released the names, but they believe the shooting was a “dispute between several people.”

Was it a terrorist attack?

On Thursday officials continue to believe the incident was not terror related and that it happened due to an argument between several people in the huge crowd. Chief Graves said the two people in custody are the gunmen, and he added that it was a shooting made by “a few bad actors”.

At the time of writing, three people are critically injured and five others seriously with one person declared deceased. Police say up to 21 people were injured in total. Of those injured, more than half were under 16 years of age.

All players were immediately accounted for after the shooting occurred, and they were moved to a safe location having been on the stage around 10 minutes prior to the first shots being heard coming from Union Station. Mayor Quinton Lucas soon confirmed that none of the Kansas City Chiefs players, coaches or team staff were among those injured.
