The press conference coincides with Super Bowl 2024 media day and unfortunately Goodell’s conference won’t be open to the public. That doesn’t mean that the subjects he’ll address are of less interest.

Goodell, who has been the NFL commissioner since 2006, is about to finalize a contract extension, as the current one ends in 2024. So far, the NFL has not provided details about it.

The 64-year-old NFL executive replaced Paul Tagliablue 17 years ago. Since then, he has signed contract extensions in 2009, 2012, and 2017. It was speculated that this would be the last extension he would sign.

What is Roger Goodell’s net worth?

According to Forbes magazine, the NFL commissioner has a fortune of $200 million and a salary of approximately $64 million.

When Goodell first took the helm as commissioner, his 2007 earnings were $6 million. He hasn’t earned less than eight figures since, taking home $12 million in 2008 and 2011 and $10 million in 2009 and 2010.

If we factor in everything Goodell has attained in salary, then his earnings are $556.7 million, more than any player in NFL history. The head of the NFL renewed his contract in October 2023 with the league until 2027.
