Last October, Las Vegas Raiders’ wide receiver Davante Adams was charged with assault for shoving a photographer to the ground as he left the field following a loss at Kansas City. However, prosecutors have now dropped the charge.

On Friday, a spokesperson for the Kansas City municipal stated that a prosecutor dismissed a misdemeanor charge on June 5 and that the case has been closed.

According to police, Adams pushed Ryan Zebley. On October 10, after the Raiders lost 30-29 to the Chiefs, Zebley, a freelance photographer working for ESPN’s “Monday Night Football,” was involved in an incident.

What happened to Ryan Zebley when shoved by Davante Adams?

Hospital records showed that Zebley experienced whiplash, a headache, and a potential minor concussion due to the incident. A civil case is pending in which he is suing Adams, the Raiders, and the Chiefs, among others, over the incident.

After the game, Adams apologized for shoving Zebley and explained that it was due to a combination of frustration and Zebley running in front of him.

He jumped in front of me coming off the field. I kind of pushed him. He ended up on the ground. I want to apologize to him for that. That was just frustration mixed with him really just running in front of me.”
