Why isn’t Jordan Love playing for the Packers against the Bears in week 18? NFL injury report
The Green Bay QB was taken off due to injury, leaving Malik Willis to take his place.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been taken from the field during his team’s final regular season game.
Love appeared to pick up an injury to his throwing arm during the game against the Chicago Bears, casting doubt on his fitness status going forward. He was sacked by Robert Quinn and his right elbow appeared to collide with a teammate’s helmet. Love was immediately taken from the field, likely as a precaution ahead of the playoffs.
The Packers listed him as questionable to return with a right elbow injury. After a trip to the locker room he was able to return to the bench, but did so wearing a brace on the affected right arm.
In his place, backup quarterback Malik Willis stepped in for the Packers.
By the end of the second quarter Love’s condition appeared to be improving and he was seen warming up on the sideline, throwing passes to a coach to test out the throwing arm. Nevertheless, he has not returned to the field.
