Why isn’t Micah Parsons playing for the Cowboys agains the Lions? NFL Week 6 injury status
Some talk had suggested he had a chance, but Dallas’ edge rusher will have to wait a little longer before making his return.
It was during the win over the New York Giants in Week 4 when Dallas Cowboys’ Micah Parsons suffered a high-ankle sprain, and after missing out on last week’s 20-17 victory against the Steelers, he’ll not be suiting up today.
The Sunday game against the Lions – which our resident cowgirl Jen will be bringing you live – has come too soon for the edge rusher to return, confirmed by Patrik Walker from the team’s official site. This disappointing news follows on the back of owner Jerry Jones using the word “iffy” to describe Parsons chances of making it, giving some cause for optimism. But it wasn’t to be.
Who will replace Micah Parsons for the Cowboys?
With no Parsons available, we can expect to see both Tyrus Wheat and Carl Lawson getting plenty more work as part of the defensive line.
The good news for Parsons and the Cowboys is that Week 7 is a bye for them. That means that there will be more time to recover ahead of a tasty clash with the 49ers on Sunday, October 27.
