Why isn’t Skyy Moore playing for the Chiefs against the Bills in the NFL Divisional Round?

The Kansas City Chiefs will go into the Divisional Round without offensive weapon Skyy Moore as coach Andy Reid rules him out.

In a disappointing setback, the Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters on Friday that receiver Skyy Moore would not be activated for the weekend after he tweaked his knee during Thursday’s practice.

Moore had been set to return to active duty after suffering a knee injury during the Week 15 win over New England.

Now in his second season, Skyy Moore had 21 receptions for 244 yards and a touchdown in 14 regular-season games.

It is unclear if Moore would return for the AFC Championship Game, should the Chiefs win, with Reid noting that he needed “at least” another week. Coach Reid also ruled out defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi, who is out with a triceps injury, and backup OT Wanya Morris who is out with a concussion. Donovan Smith will continue to start at left tackle.

The Chiefs offense is rather beat up, with Kadarius Toney, Justyn Ross, Rashee Rice, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling all sporting injuries. Both Toney and Ross are questionable to play the Bills, while Rice and Valdes-Scantling are both expected to see at least a little action.
