The Atlanta Falcons are set to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday October 3, 2024 at 8:15 PM, where fans at the Mercedes Benz Stadium will be looking to see their side improve on their 2-2 record so far this season.

However, the loyal supporters have been sweating over the fitness of Bijan Robinson, their local-born running back, who has been suffering from a hamstring issue.

Bijan Robinson injury update

Not having the 22-year-old could prove to be a significant loss for his side who play their second NFC South matchup in five days: Entering Week 5, Robinson has 55 carries for 224 yards and one touchdown, a team record. As well as that, the youngster is averaging 4.1 yards per rushing attempt and he also has 15 receptions (16 targets) for 135 yards.

However, there is good news for Falcons fans: reports say that the player has been removed from the injury list and is good to go for the game on Thursday night.

Robinson himself opened up on his issue, saying “I’m good, just like these little nics and bruises that I got, but I’m ready to go for tomorrow.”

The NFL game between the Buccaneers and the Falcons will be played on Thursday October 3, with kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET / 5:15 p.m. PT. As well as catching all the buildup on AS USA, you can watch the game live, exclusively on Amazon.

It’s a hugely important game for both sides, even this early in the season, as Tampa Bay are top of the table and looking good: a win for the Bucs would undoubtedly be a massive boost to their confidence. As for the Falcons, they are just one game behind and closing the gap would be a significant shift in the optics: they would draw level at the top with the Bucs who could move towards a tiebreaker that could help them win the division.
