Update:

Denver Broncos fans have received good news in the build-up to their NFL Wild Card clash against the rampant Buffalo Bills as they have re-activated running back Tyler Badie for the game in Orchard Park, which is set to be played in freezing temperatures.

The New Orleans native has not been active since Week 4 and as such has not been able to contribute to a Broncos team that just managed to squeeze into the postseason by beating the Chiefs in the final week of regular season action.

What injury does Tyler Badie have?

Badie suffered a back injury when playing against the New York Jets on Sept. 29. The 24-year-old took a hit from Jets linebacker Quincy Williams and was taken off the pitch before fans worryingly spotted him lying down on the sidelines being strapped to a board.

Badie’s surprising record for the Broncos

He had been a promising element in the team setup prior to the injury, having rushed for 86 yards on 11 carries in three games this season - the biggest output at the time for the Denver Broncos.

As well as Badie, Denver also saw offensive guard Nick Gargiulo moved from the practice squad to the active roster, giving fans an extra boost of hope in what is set to be a tough tie.

Will Badie play against the Bills?

Great question. Spending so much time on the sidelines does obviously not play in his favour but Badie brings something different to the attack and could certainly be used if a spark is needed off the bench.

While some may claim that being out for so long will, surely see him spent the entirety of the game out of action, the decision by head coach Sean Payton has been made for a reason, and it’s do or die time for the Broncos in a challenging affair against scary opposition.
