The triumphant trio
Behind gold-medallist Sheng Lihao, Sweden's Victor Lindgren (left) took silver in the men's 10m air rifle, with Croatia's Miran Maricic (right) securing bronze.

Sheng Lihao wins another shooting gold for China
Another Chinese gold medal to tell you about: Sheng Lihao has the men's 10m air rifle final, posting an Olympic-record score of 252.2.
That's his second gold of the Paris Games, as he also won the mixed team 10m air rifle with Huang Yuting.
Lian and Yang take men's synchronised 10m platform gold
Lian Junjie and Yang Hao of China won gold in the men's 10m synchronised platform on what was their Olympic debut. They securing the top score in each round for a total of 490.35 points.
Tom Daley and Noah Williams of Team GB claimed silver – making Daley the first diver to win three Olympic medals in this event – while Rylan Wiens and Nathan Zsombor-Murray of Canada earned bronze.
With Simone Biles back for her third Olympics, the gymnastics events, held at the Bercy Arena in Paris, are wowing the crowds.

Gold at 16... and Olympic record too!
That was truly stunning from Ban, who is only 16 years old.
She had to win a shoot-off against Huang Yuting after both scored 251.8, which equals the Olympic record of China's Yang Qian set at Tokyo 2020.
Hyojin wins women's 10m air rifle gold!
I told you we were close and the first medal of the day goes to Ban Hyojin who takes the women's 10m air rifle gold for South Korea.
Silver goes to China's Huang Yuting and Audrey Gogniat gets bronze for Switzerland, the country's first medal of these Games.
As we await the first medal news of the day – which shouldn't be too far away if the shooters continue to hit their targets – let's reflect briefly on one of the surprise highlights from the opening ceremony on Friday.
The masked individual (or, should I say, individuals) garnered plenty of attention and curiosity grew as to what lay underneath the costume, something that was not revealed.
Diving into Monday medals
The men's synchronised 10m platform diving final is one of the highlights later today. Our social media friends at the Olympics have shared the following clips from past Games to wet, I mean whet, your appetite.
Although not in action today, interest in the man who was the first to complete the sprint treble at a World Championships since Usain Bolt in 2015 has been growing.
