It’s Tuesday and that means another action-packed session at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. One of the highlights of Day 4 will likely be in artistic gymnastics, where Simone Biles of Team USA aims to secure her first Olympic title since Rio 2016 in the women’s team all-around final.
Elsewhere we’ll see if French judoka Clarisse Agbegnenou can defend her Olympic title in the women’s -63kg category at the Champ-de-Mars Arena, and Ireland’s Daniel Wiffen has the potential to make history by winning the country’s first Olympic gold medal in swimming, in the men’s 800m freestyle final. There will be surfers vying for a podium place in Tahiti, while in table tennis, China’s top players Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha are the favourites to win the mixed doubles event at the South Paris Arena.
How many gold medals will be won today?
In all, there will be competition across 26 sports today in France, where 12 gold medals will be up for grabs across seven sports. (Note that the men’s triathlon was scheduled for today but has been postponed due to water quality issues on the River Seine. Today’s planned surfing event has also been put on hold)

When do the 2024 Paris Olympics end?
