Who won the first gold medal of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris?
The first Olympic champions of the 2024 Games have been confirmed, after final of shooting’s mixed team 10m air rifle event.


China’s Huang Yuting and Sheng Lihao today won the first gold medal of the 2024 Olympics, after claiming victory in the final of the mixed team 10m air rifle event at the Châteauroux Shooting Centre.
They beat South Korean pair Keum Ji-hyeon and Park Ha-jun to take gold.
Earlier on Saturday, the first full day of competition in the French capital, Kazakhstan’s Alexandra Le and Islam Satpayev secured the 2024 Games’ first medal of any colour, after they were confirmed as winners of the bronze in the mixed team 10m air rifle.
