2022 Presidents Cup: Day 1 roundup and pairings and tee times for Day 2
The U.S. takes a big lead over the international team on Day 1 of the 2022 Presidents Cup. A look at the pairings and tee times of Day 2
Day 1 of the 2022 Presidents Cup saw the U.S. dominate at North Carolina’s historic Quail Hollow Club, winning four of the five foursome matches. The competition, which features a team of 12 U.S. golfers match up against 12 international golfers from the rest of the world, consists of 30 matches over the four days it’s held.
After opening with five foursomes matches on Thursday, the format will shift to five four-ball matches on Friday.
Every player on the American team, captained by Davis Love III, is ranked higher in the Official World Golf Rankings than all but three golfers on the International team, which automatically favors the U.S. to win their fifth consecutive tournament. The last time the U.S. team lost a Presidents Cup was in 1998.
Trevor Immelman, captain of the international team, changed up the pairings ahead of Day 2 in an attempt to find something for his squad to cling onto going into this weekend. None of the pairings on Day 2 are the same as they were on Day 1.
Let’s take a look at the tee times and all the pairings on Day 2 of the 2022 Presidents Cup:
