2023 BMW PGA Championship: Friday Round 2 tee times, pairings and featured groups
The 2023 BMW PGA Championship tee times and groups unveiled as the DP World Tour returns to Wentworth’s West Course for its 40th consecutive flagship event.
Europe’s top golfers, including world-class talent, are set to tee off at the 2023 BMW PGA Championship starting Thursday. With the complete European Ryder Cup team participating, the tournament boasts a formidable field.
Round 2 starts at 1:45 a.m. ET time on Friday, featuring 138 players, all commencing from the first hole, with most teeing off at 10-minute intervals, except for specific cases with five-minute intervals.
Highly anticipated groups include Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Aberg, and Víktor Hovland, all members of the European Ryder Cup team, teeing off at 7:40 a.m.
Additional participants, using the BMW PGA Championship as a gauge of their form before the Ryder Cup in Italy, include Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, and Sepp Straka, who will start together at 8 a.m.
Captain Luke Donald, along with co-captains Francesco and Edoardo Molinari, will play together, teeing off at 8:30 a.m.
The remaining six European team members are split into two trios: Jon Rahm, Nicolai Hojgaard, and Tyrrell Hatton will start at 3:40 a.m., followed by Justin Rose, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Robert MacIntyre ten minutes later.
Co-captains Thomas Bjorn and Nicholas Colsaerts, along with Stephen Gallacher, will tee off at 7:15 a.m.
Another notable trio includes Padraig Harrington, Victor Perez, and Rasmus Hojgaard.
Vincent Norrman, the newly crowned Irish Open champion, will tee off at 4:10 a.m. alongside Jordan Smith and Jorge Campillo.
The BMW PGA Championship, held at the West Course of the Wentworth Club since 1955, features former champions like Shane Lowry, Tyrrell Hatton, Francesco Molinari, Rory McIlroy, and Luke Donald. Notable past winners Billy Horschell (2021) and Danny Willet (2019) will also participate, along with strong contenders like Jamie Donaldson, Victor Perez, and Justin Rose.
