The coveted green jacket is what all the players want, but the millions of dollars that come with it is something they’ll gladly take home with them too. This year the $18 million dollar payout is $3 million more than last year. In 2022 Scottie Scheffler won $2.7 million, half a million dollars less than this year’s winner

This 2023 Masters also included something that everyone wants too: bragging rights. The money is great and the prestige of the green jacket is too, but the LIV Tour wants the win to prove that they’re not second-division golfers. But this year the PGA has come out on top thanks to Jon Rahm, who has won his first Masters Tournament after shooting 69 today, to bring is total to 12-under at 276.

Today, June 9, just happens to be Seve Ballesteros’ birthday too. The Spanish legend was the first from his country to earn a green jacket. He won in 1980 and 1983 and paved the way for Jose Maria Olazabal, Sergio García and now Jon Rahm.
