2023 US Open: Who are the former winners who are playing at the Los Angeles Country Club?

The upcoming 2023 US Open is set to feature a remarkable lineup of past champions vying for the highly sought-after title.

Just a week shy from the 2023 United States Open Championship and its 123rd edition scheduled for June 15–18 on the North Course of Los Angeles Country Club in Los Angeles, California, its first major championship in its history. The U.S. Open is the third major championship out of four played yearly. Winners of the U.S. Open are granted the opportunity to participate in the remaining three major championships (the Masters, the Open Championship (British Open), and the PGA Championship) for the next five years. They are also exempted from qualifying for the U.S. Open for ten years.

2023 U.S. Open: former winners at this year’s edition

The 2023 U.S. Open at the Los Angeles Country Club boasts an impressive roster of past champions.

Notable names, including Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McIlroy, b, Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer, Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, Justin Rose, Jordan Spieth, and Gary Woodland, are all set to compete from June 15th-18th.

GOLF:

Brooks Koepka, who recently won the PGA Championship and came second in the Masters, is again a frontrunner in major championships. His sights are set on his sixth major victory at the 2023 U.S. Open in Los Angeles.

Jon Rahm, who shares the leaderboards with Scottie Scheffler this season, is also expected to perform well and contend for the championship title. With his recent win at the Masters Tournament and second major title, Rahm is undoubtedly one to watch, having finished four strokes ahead of Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson.
