2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship: Round 3 Saturday tee times and pairings
Big names in the world of golf such as Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka are battling for the top prize at St. Andrews, with a big prize purse on the line.
Jon Rahm suffered this Friday at the Kingsbarns course but delivered a card of 71 strokes (one under par and -8 in the accumulated) with which sees the Spaniard still in the hunt at the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Cup, despite being six strokes behind leaders Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts and Australian Cameron John.
The Basque player had to deal with the tricky Kingsbarns course, widely regarded as the most complex of the three St. Andrews courses -Carnoustie and Old Course being the other two- with wind generally an issue, but the Basque Liv golfer is still in the battle at the Pro Am format, with stars like Ruud Gullit, Gareth Bale or Michael Douglas playing in each of the three fields in which the tournament is played at the same time as the professionals.
In the team standings, Scotland’s Gran Forrest and former Scottish golf federation president Martin Gilbert are in first place with -24 over the two days, while the team of Welshman Gareth Bale and Britain’s Daniel Brown is in sixteenth place with a solid -19.
The final cut of 60 players for Sunday’s final round will be made upon the conclusion of Saturday’s play in the north east of Scotland.
