Keith Mitchell surged ahead to claim a two-stroke lead after the third round of the Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida. Despite grappling with three bogeys on the front nine, Mitchell’s remarkable performance saw him card a 5-under-par 66, including an impressive 29 on the back nine.

His stellar round included four birdies and an eagle on the 18th hole, making him the first golfer in the tournament’s history to play the Snake Pit (Nos. 16-18) at 4-under. Mitchell, aiming for his second PGA Tour victory, currently stands at 10-under 203, leading the pack ahead of contenders such as Seamus Power, Peter Malnati, and Mackenzie Hughes. Power, vying to become the first international winner at Valspar since 2019, recorded four birdies in his third-round 68.
