Saúl Canelo Álvarez is eager to return to the ring for the first time this year and he will fight Kyrgyzstan born Dimitry Bivol on 7 May at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Mexican superstar will return to 175 pounds to face the unbeaten Bivol star for the WBA championship.

Right now, I have Bivol,” said Canelo during a Media Conference Call. “He’s stronger than Kovalev, yes. He’s a solid champion at 175, a really good fighter. So, it’s a challenge for me, and this kind of challenge motivates me. I’m trying to extend my legacy.”

The pre-fight press conference will see both men face questions from the media ahead of the Saturday’s Las Vegas bout with the event set to get underway at 4:00 pm ET on 5 May. The event can be live streamed via DAZN.
