Ebanie Bridges, boxer, on her controversial weigh-in outfits: “I like lingerie. I’ve got massive tits. I’m going to fucking show it off”
Former bantamweight champion Ebanie Bridges has issued a forthright defense of her pre-fight sartorial choices.

Boxer Ebanie Bridges says she doesn’t “give a shit” about criticism of her weigh-in outfits, telling her detractors: “Fuck off and don’t watch me.”
Bridges, the former IBF female bantamweight champion, is well-known for appearing at her pre-fight weigh-in events in revealing lingerie.
And in a recent interview on That Boxing Show with Johnny Nelson, the Australian delivered a forthright defense of her sartorial choices.
“I don’t give a fuck what people think”
“I wear lingerie,” Bridges said. “I like lingerie. I’ve got massive tits. I’m going to fucking show it off. I was a bodybuilder for 10 years. I used to stand on stage in a tiny little G-string, flexing and posing and being all cute.
“I don’t do that anymore - and I thought: Well, this little scale is kind of where I can do a cute little bodybuilding pose and show my body off that I’ve dieted so hard for and trained hard for.
“I’m not going to go out and buy some ugly underwear because they want me to minimize my femininity because it’s a male sport. Do you know what I mean? I’ve obviously got a lot of bullets from it.”
Bridges continued: “Women’s boxing is such a small niche and it’s always going to be that until we do something fucking different.
“And people don’t want to see, watch girls that look like boys box. They don’t - I’m sorry, but it’s going to be very hard to get eyes on the sport by doing the same thing. Do you know what I mean?
“So we need to change shit up. And I thought: Well, I’m the girl for it, because I’ll do whatever. I don’t give a fuck what people think.
“If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, fuck off and don’t watch me. I don’t give a shit. Do you know what I mean? You like it or you don’t.”
“People expect me to just twiddle my thumbs”
In the past, Bridges has also defended her presence on the paid-content site OnlyFans, where she regularly posts steamy images of herself.
In a social-media post last year, she argued that her OnlyFans page is a vital income source for her during periods of lower activity in her boxing career.
“Sorry I make more money on OnlyFans than I do putting my life on hold training praying for a promoter to give me a fight all year,” she said.
“Thankfully I have OnlyFans cos if I didn’t I’d be a broke ass bitch. Boxing don’t pay, esp[ecially] when you don’t get fights… People expect me to just twiddle my thumbs and be broke waiting on fights with no income.”
“A devoted mother on a mission to reclaim her title”
Bridges has not fought since December 2023 - a so-far two-year hiatus which, in part, is because she put her boxing career on hold to give birth to her first child.
Bridges and her British husband Kell Brook, the former IBF welterweight champion, announced the arrival of son Ezerra Ray in March this year.
In July, Bridges signed with Most Valuable Promotions, a boxing promotion company co-founded by YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
In a statement announcing the partnership, MVP said of Bridges: “She’s a world champion, a proven ticket seller, and a force of personality who brings new audiences into boxing.
“Now a devoted mother on a mission to reclaim her title, she continues to break boundaries both in and out of the ring. We’re thrilled to welcome another Aussie to the MVP family and can’t wait to help take her career to even greater heights.”
Bridges currently has a 9-2 record in professional boxing, having lost her IBF title to Japan’s Myo Yoshida in her most recent bout.
Previously, the Sydney native had beaten Argentina’s María Cecilia Román to claim the IBF bantamweight belt in March 2022, before defending her crown against compatriot Shannon O’Connell nine months later.
